My vacation has a slow start. I'm to be in Portland, OR tomorrow night and worked half the day. Now I'm at the motorcycle shop making sure my bike is seaworthy.

I'll be visiting Spokane, Portland, Seattle, Walla Walla and Tillamook. Any PiPstops I can make?

Were I still in Gresham, I'd say sure.   But here I am in the Arizona desert, stone's throw from Mexico and spittin distance from Cali...both of which I do often.

Have a safe one, and be careful on the I-5 corridor.

Stop by Florida and say hello, Larry.

scorpio,
Thanks! I sure hope to.

Well Alicat,
Then you'll understand when I say leaving Phoenix in 110* weather doesn't exactly break my heart!

Susan,
Thanks sweet lady.

'Deer,
Is that on the way. I didn't realize they finally put Florida in a better place.

Stop by the Blues Festival if ya can or at least wave as you're ridin' by. I'll be there with camera in hand on Monday. It's gonna be at the Waterfront and promises to be a great weekend.
Be careful out there!!!

PhaerieChild,
If only I was in town. I'll be back to Portland Wednesday. I did a Jazz and Blues festival here in Phoenix (first annual) what a blast! Hope you enjoy tons.

I'd go with 5.  Though the 101 is very very scenic, it's also closed many times of the year.  Snow, rain, mudslides, rockslides, undercutting from erosion, runoff.  Who knows, you might get lucky and go from San Fran to Seattle without mishap.

And I found all these responses. Cool. I'll be back in Portland Wednesday. Thanks for all the well wishes! Much appreciated.

Wednesday? at what time? where?
the possibilities abound...perhaps a poetic lunch downtown, maybe we can meet at a wonderful place downtown for lunch or dinner???? Noah? Ken? Larry, ME, anyone else? phairie child? anyone else within an hour's drive????
We have an opportunity for a vibrant fun poet get-together! late afternoon or early evening is best for me....anyone else?

I'm just a half hour to an hour away, but afraid I can't make it. If I could drive I'd be there! Someday, though...

Hope your vacation is going well, Larry. And I hope you all have a great time meeting...

Thanks Joyce! And I think Balladeer has more wind than Dennis but you'd probably have to ask Toerag.

Got home last night and 30 miles from had one of the closest calls on the freeway that I've ever experienced. Thought I had lost my motorcycle and all the woodworking tools I had gone to get! But God is good.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hugs to you, I know some day we shall meet in 3D reality....
