It's Your Day, Nan!

It started before those six years ago
When you first entered these pages of blue
As poetry was in your blood through lines
So you've kept that legacy, true...

Then you gently opened your loving hands,
Giving a warm welcome to all that came
Into the land of PiP, as you would stand
By the side of the Wizard's name, and fame...

We see the smile that lights up your blue eyes
When your students come gather to attend
Your workshops that hold sometimes a surprise,
And where humor seems to have no end...

For all you do in these pages of blue...

Thank you, kind poet friends - It seems now like there was no life before PiP, doesn't it? Can you imagine - On May 20, 1999 there was a total of two members wandering around these great walls.

Of course we've added several annexes since then - but there was definitely a noticeable echo in here until we opened the doors for new members.

But then, there was no real choice - There was a crowd gathering just outside the gate... Thank you one and all for making this blue place so grand...

Happy 6th Anniversary Nan!

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been six years. You were the first to welcome me on board when I joined, and I can only imagine how many others you've encouraged and welcomed in as many years.

You do so much for Passions, Nan. This place would simply not be what it is, without you.

You are a treasure.

Let's celebrate your six years - whatcha say? A drink and fireworks at the top of the tower in Niagara Falls on July 1st?
