Happy is one of those relative things, I guess. Hope yours is a happy one. (The day, I mean, not your relatives. Okay, those, too, then.) |

I have a lot to be thankful for this year...and hopefully a big surprise coming up next week! Life is good. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Ron? To make the 'm' sound a turkey must have lips...do turkeys have lips? |

Alright, it's 3AM right now. Can't sleep. I need to be up by 6:30 to start the turkey. The house is spotless. Pies are cooked. Still have a casserole, several dips, side dishes, and platters to finish before 1PM, when everyone sits down to eat. There'll be seven people here... five of which I'd rather not even be in the same state as. They'll stay to play boardgames and whatnot for around 13 or 14 hours. Then there's cleanup... I hope you all have a good day. *sigh* ...Okay, okay. Happy Thanksgiving. |

If clams got legs and chickens got lips, I suppose turkeys would too. |

You know Ron, the more that you work with the site the stranger you get. I have figured it out. Turkey+PIPs=insanity... ahhh *runs off to the lab to work on the equation* Or it could just be me. Take care all and have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!!! I love my PiPs Family. Love, Ladycat and Rugrat *hugs and kisses* PS: On the sheep thing Titia, I think that you would have to talk to Alicat about that. He is one of the Scots in the world. He understands the taste of sheep. And I wish that I didn't have to cook or clean house today, but it will be great spending time with everyone just the same. So from the rest of my Southeast Texas Family to you around the world: Happy Turkey Day! "Everything changes, everything stays the same."-Bill Austin |

A wonderful holiday. First ever that I wasn't the turkey in my house. (Had family that required a bird!) Wish I could share more time with you guys. That'll turn soon I think. Ron our company was from Michigan. Came to ride motorcycles and it rained the two days they rented their Harley! |

I became vegetarian on New Years Day so this is the first Thanksgiving I did not have turkey. I suppose my decision to convert was based upon two things. First, I've had a greater guilt than ever for animals, as I love them so very much and feel I am just lying to myself by continuing to eat them when they are all like friends to me. Secondly, I have seperated myself further than ever before from the corporate climate, and many major meat manufacturers like Tyson are swallowed under the corporate undertode and have done things I've found to be unethical. I feel I'm kind of a hypocrite if I have all these strong feelings yet I continue to kowtow to them. Once you make the leap, it's really a lot easier than you think! Vegetarian feasts aren't all about tofu and lentils, by the way. There's a universe of delicious, hearty, delectable gourmet food that doesn't include meat, including the essentials; cranberries, yams, warm toasted rolls, and as alternatives to stuffing and the turkey, musaka or curried eggplant or even a sweet potato bisque does the trick! Some may see I'm only restricting my personal freedom by closing myself off from meat products, but I rather think of it as the opposite. It's just like someone who watches TV all the time, someone who doesn't realize that there's a whole other world out there to wander and explore in! I feel having the willpower to break away from meat for about a year now, I have found the time and freedom to discover so many rarer, delicate, overlooked treasures to feast upon, and boy, are there so many! Please know I have no grudge against those who do eat meat. After all, I used to eat it too! It's just a moral conscience issue with me personally, because I'm pretty much the All-American Alternative as it is, and I feel it is right in my conscience to pursue the alternative lifestyle beyond the corporate climate, with the exception of this Internet service and Portland General Electric. Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Happy Loved Ones Togetherness Day! (I prefer to call that day this than Thanksgiving for heritage and cultural reasons!) Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |
