First - A huge Thank You to all of the poets who contributed their words. Brochures will be in your mail soon. Now, as all good things come to an end, there is some not-so-good news as well. This year's taping was, once again, held outside. Local television programming being what it is, and with limited funding, our local station has yet to acquire all of the necessary tools and equipment to make for a faultless delivery. And, I truly believe, if you haven't read it in my poetry, Kansas is a truly Windy State!!!! Kansa means, after all..."swift wind". So...the sound on the tape is not all that good... and then...I was first told to give 10 minutes worth of reading. When I arrived at the station, they said "stretch it". Hmmm....So I tried to stretch it, and truth be told, I should have left well enough alone. Two of our contributing poets poems were not read, and I apologize for that. You will be getting a private e-mail from me regarding same. So, for those whom I name below, if you still wish to have a copy of the video, sign in please...and if not, I more than understand. You WILL be getting two copies of the brochure, however.  I left brochures at the station. There are a lot of art lovers and poetry readers in Salina. If I am contacted by any of them about you and your poetry, I will take it upon myself to take their name and address and I will then contact you myself, provide any input they give, and if you wish to follow up with them, then it will be in your hands. You were all awesome.... Will the following poets please take a bow? Thank you Karilea for your time and effort that you put into the day. Sorry that our friend Mr. Wind did not comply and hold his breath for just a smidgen of time. I do appreciate your efforts toward advertising our small (ha!) community of Pipsters... |

Hi K! I got the letter you sent with the brochures today, and I must say they look phenominal! Thank you for taking the time to write the personal note; it made this endeavor all the more worthwhile. Can't wait to do this again next year! |

Karilea... at first, I thought I was getting something from a collection agency....then...DUHHHH, it hit me and I figured it out. Thanx much for the brochures, very well put together.
