this morning a devastating 6.7 earthquake hit Bam, in southern Iran, and first reports are that this city of 80,000 people has been nearly destroyed

yes, I heard that too. They are saying the death toll will be very high...in the tens of thousands. It happened early in the morning while everyone was asleep! The city itself is old - some buildings were 2000 years old. It's so tragic.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been gone today until just recently an didn't know. Of course I will pray for those poor people.
