 Upon request, Michael has asked for us all to offer our prayers to him at this time, as he vows for Passions to know his memory will recover and he is a fighter and he WILL WIN this fight and though his memory may be struggling at this time, he wants all of know to know he cares about you all very much and asks that you all pray for him to guide him with strength and comfort!  Please join me in a circle of hands for our dearest Michael! I would suspect that our dear Noah is MUCH more of a fighter than I could ever be. I mean that very sincerely. He's a most dear man. Yes, I'm going through some rough times now. I can't deny that, VERY rough, but PLEASE don't think for a minute that I won't overcome it. I will, that's a promise you can all depend on. I want you to know that I'm not afraid, though VERY concerned. My memory is VERY seriously affected now, my short term memory, that is. Want to hear God's blessing?  Seriously, folks, God has kept most of my long term memory still intact so that I can STILL remember how much I love you all, how very kind and generous you've always been to ME!!! When my God given talents return, IF, they return, I'll be back, but thank GOD Himself for giving them to me, for a short time, or ANY amount of time. Praise GOD!  |

Michael, you will overcome this. Believe it! Know it! You were put here on this good Earth to spread joy through your humanity, painting, poetry---and the rest of your God-given talents. There are also herbs, vitamins and minerals that can help with memory loss. Exercise also helps. I will do a distant healing on you today and I continue to send prayers up to Our Father on your behalf. We miss you--and care deeply! My dear thanks to each of you. I know you care and that knowing means so much to me, helps to keep me from feeling so alone. Memory loss truly is a most lonely feeling. For about 15 minutes today I remembered how to paint, but then those memories disappeared and I was once again left without knowing how to do so. It's much the same with writing. It's very frustrating. I'm spending a lot of time in bed, not sleeping, just resting, conserving as much energy as I can. I went fishing today from my boat, it being kept tied to the dock so that I wouldn't get lost. I didn't catch anything, but only fed the fish. I left and came home. A couple of hours later I got a call from my landlord telling me that the fish I caught, the one that got away, his six year old daughter also caught just after I'd left. The fish yanked his daughter off the dock and into the marsh, the tide running swiftly and her unable to swim. Logan's dad was having a problem with his diabetes at the time and could barely move. Bing, Logan's mom, who also can't swim, ran down and jumped onto my boat, barely catching Logan as the tide drug her by the side of my boat. Needless to say, there are a LOT of high fives going to God this evening. I look at what I'm going through right now and the thought occurs to me that if my boat hadn't been tied to the dock then precious little Logan might not have been rescued. I, for one, DO BELIEVE God moves in mysterious ways and He gets MUCH more praise from me this evening. |

God Certainly does work in mysterious ways and Praise Him for it!!! There is a reason for everything even your difficulty with short term memory..... possibly to demonstrate the power of prayer and His amazing grace and healing in your life. Noah, you are such a dear friend--not only to Michael, but to all of us. I most certainly would join in a prayer circle in honor of our fellow Pipster, Michael Auguste. In fact, ever since you first informed us of his health concerns, I have periodly sent up prayers on his behalf. He will pass these tests, trials and tribulations with flying colours of a rainbow. You are all the very *heart* of what makes Passions the greatest poetry site on the web. I dearly thank each of you for your caring and prayers. To give you an update, my weight loss continues, though it's slowed down, praise God. My short term memory is still in and out, mostly out, but my long term memory is better. In all honesty, this is the hardest battle I've yet to face in my entire life. I was struck down by a car at nine years old and nearly lost my life, a blood clot racing to my brain, finally disolving in the nick of time. At nineteen I was swimming and nearly drowned, VERY nearly. In fact, I'm not sure that I didn't, but do remember being rescued by three young men on a raft. They dropped me off on an island and when I turned around to thank them for rescuing me they were NOWHERE in sight. Angels? You be the judge, but I've always felt in my heart that they were. I WILL overcome this, believe me! I sure do, but I know it will take time. I also know that in the process I'll lose some friends, (as I already have) worry some, make some. It is not my wish to cause anyone worry, but to keep you informed about what's going on. I'm a strong man, NOT a quitter, never a quitter, so please know that in time the friend you all once knew will return with his memory once again intact and will also return with a big smile, hugs for all of you, remembering how to write and paint again, once again remembering and trying to share in the best way I can all the beauty that has always blessed my life.
