 There is a man named Balladeer Who has his birthday now and here And from this land far over sea You get big knuffels from Dutchie me For now he's lost in Doldrum city Isn't that an awfull pity Deprived we are from poems in wit I miss him terribly I must admit But sometimes it's just common sense When taking part gets too immense To take a break can be a relieve And that's what he's doing I believe Sweet Deer, come here, you'll get a kiss Your day of Birth I'll never miss Still laughing at memories of last September Ohhh... those days in Florida, I do remember HAPPY BIRTHDAY BALLADEER Titia  Like scattered leaves...my words will flow [This message has been edited by Titia Geertman (08-18-2003 09:32 AM).] |

What a great tribute Titia! He's one in a million, our Balladeer!  Happy Birthday Michael! A thousand times, I thank you 'Deer, For being who you are; A man whose special gift is shared, With all, both near and far. You've touched our hearts with ballads true, Through stories that you weave; A master in the truest sense, Of truth, and make-believe. Your vast imagination seems To shine so many ways … A poignant piece, or light and fun, I always am amazed. You captivate your audience, With stories that inspire, Through narratives and anecdotes, You set our minds afire. You pen our hearts, you pen our lives, Bring characters to life, And through your words, we feel their warmth, It's always sheer delight. I've grown myself, in reading you, And truly I feel blessed, For all you are … for all you do … Sweet poet … you're the best. Remembering a day back when I found you in the Pit. I saw your poetry and then We shared some verse and wit. Four years it seems have passed us by. Those birthdays come and go. We've bantered daily laughs and sighs We've traveled to and fro. Great memories - good times for all But one stands as the best When we got "pringled" I recall As we went to Key West. The Birthday Kiss for Balladeer A Duet By Sharon and Sharon (aka Mysteria and deVine) He sauntered up to the kissing booth confused and a little perplexed not one, but two Sharon’s stood there, his birthday wish had not been hexed! Both ladies stood there patiently lips pursed while waiting for a kiss 'deer's poor heart beat so fast he knew he had found his bliss His birthday wish had come true Double the fun was on his plate, Not one, but two gorgeous blondes, stood there ready to accommodate. He puffed out his chest like a man, Walked up to those girls quite bold, Smiled a grin from ear to ear, One of his best so I was told. “Ladies” he said with Southern drawl “my dreams have now come true tis long been a wish of mine to be kissed by both of you” The Sharons giggled shyly then Both eyeing the ‘deer with trepidation He seemed quite eager to begin Some birthday osculation The ladies looked at each other Twas this they’d planned for weeks As ‘deer leaned in, lips in ready They kissed him on his cheeks Happy Birthday Balladeer! |

 Happy Birthday Michael There is no finer gentleman I have ever met anywhere from the tips of his size 12 toes to the silver sparkle in his hair. He is a little silly well maybe that is true, but as a friend our Balladeer is true, red, white, and blue. My wish for him is simple may each day of his life count mix it up with golf and humor in just the right amount. Never let his pen run dry his ballads are the best may he get his just revenge on Mike and Toe before he's put to rest. Give me a break - it's bad poetry day! |

I saw this post today and thought Now Titia's getting bolder She's posting lies about a friend For Deer can't be getting older You see the picture on my screen here Hasn't changed one bit And his lovely poetry Still contains his wit His works display his simple grace Yet still portray his youth So Titia I beg of you, It's time to tell the truth You see, a bard like Balladeer Has entered through the portal That's frozen verse to still up time That makes our friend immortal And so I'll raise a hearty glass And toast him with this letter But Balladeer's not growing older He's only growing better!!!
