My mother passed away on Sunday in a car accident and while there are few words that can be expressed from my mouth, many emotions are flowing heavily.

I let go of my religion a very long time ago and have no real desire to regain a spiritual path that is doctrined in such a fashion but my father is still involved in his faith. I haven't been around but I was wondering if you guys would be able to include him in your prayers? She was his soul mate of 33 years and he's taking it quite hard, naturally, and needs something more than what I and my brothers can currently give him.

We are all taking this terribly and the funeral is on Saturday morning. Any sort of thoughts or prayers for my father and my three brothers are very much appreciated.

She was a bloody good woman and didn't deserve to die this young. But, like Billy Joel said, only the good die young.

Elizabeth, I will hold your family in my prayers. I am so sorry for the loss that you are all experiencing. That your Father feels a prayer's answer is all we can hope for.

That's terrible news, Elizabeth. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through. But you will all be in my prayers. Please let your father know we are thinking of him.

Elizabeth, I am so sorry for this tragedy and for the pain it is causing your family. May Mom rest in peace and may your Dad find comfort knowing so many are praying for him.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. My father is appreciative of what you're doing, as am I.

Tomorrow we're going to the funeral home to view her body and to say a final goodbye. I don't know how i'm going to handle it as today, being that it is my birthday, was bad enough. The funeral is on Saturday and my brother and I are delivering the Eulogy so that should be interesting in itself.

I'm waiting for the pain to go away so that this shambles of a life can be mended somehow.

Elizabeth- When my father died, she said the best thing I did for her was to just be there. SHe and Dad knew each other for 52 years when he got called Home. I know that this is a rough time for you as well, however, the two of you can help each other through this.

lizzy- *holds you* words still elude me...and though i cant offer your father prayers... you know my heart is with you.

i think i could honestly say that your mother rocked- any woman who can front up to the pestering ways of my family is truly awesome. but seriously, she showed an incredible amount of generosity to me of all people at times when not even my own parents did. a person like that is irreplaceable.

hang in there beautiful, if not for yourself then for your dad and for your brothers and if not- then for me. let me know how things went on saturday {hope you had a sign outside directing unwanted relatives away- smile, chicka}

I can't imagine a loss such as this. My prayers are with you and your family. Although you have let go of your religion years ago, you still realize it's importance to your father and that is a good thing. May you continue to stay strong for him and for yourself.
