"we'll be right back to our broadcast of the 2003rd anual Oscars. Pleast stay tuned while we beam a few commercials into your mind, and you can go back to the same, repeated, rambling acceptance speaches." No idea where that came from... Actually, I was wondering, anyone have any opinions on the Oscars? Who won? Who lost? Who had the best/wotst dress or speach or suit? Go Denzel! His performance in Training Day was, bar none, the best I have ever seen. *waves hands* Feel free... discuss this about yourselves... take it on strange tangents and rabbit wholes. ~ Titus "My body is merely the canvas of my soul." |

Hallie Berry was great! She made me cry. *chuckles* That is an easy thing to do, but I was happy for her I didn't see any of the movies that were nominated. *sighs* I need to rob a bank and rent some movies I think Tara |

I'm disappointed Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman didn't win Oscars, but I guess the Academy in their infinite wisdom knows what they're doing... Bec "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is to go where they can find you." |

I think the voters decided that they had two more chances to make a 'Lord of the Rings' a best picture winner. I was disappointed by Jennifer Connolly's speech. It was emotionless. Jim Broadbent was a wonderful surprise winner. He was a co-star for Renee Zellwiger and Nicole Kidman also. And I'm glad Opie (I mean Ron Howard) finally won an Oscar!! |

the thing that irritated me the most about the oscar nominations were the ones that suggested the movie 'a beautiful mind' had any merit whatsoever oustide of numbing your mind. [This message has been edited by Christopher (03-25-2002 11:10 PM).] |

that wasn't a dress J...that was a walking statement: "I've still got it Hollywood" but what was up with her eye-makeup?? Loved Nicole's outfit actually..very elegant, simplistic and well stated. Mind you, she would look beautiful in a potato sack. K |

Best part of all, I think was the clip of Dustin Hoffman in the mirror. Aside from that, Halle Berry winning was realy touching. I haen't seen the movie, so I don't know if it was the best performance. But it did mean something. Sandra |

Come on now Bec, "infinite wisdom", didn't you mean infinite dumbass? Oh, I see, that was sarcasm. BTW, Kamla is certainly right, Nicole Kidman would look beautiful in a potato sack. But she would be exquisite out of that sack |

Not A Poet... I wasn't sure if I was allowed to say something like that! But that's certainly what I meant... Bec "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is to go where they can find you." |

I was quite dissappointed that Lord of the Rings only won technical awards but honestly what is an oscar worth? The British awards are just so more important |

I was so very happy for A Beautiful Mind winning Best Picture and I felt happy for Ron Howard winning Best Director too! I thought also Sidney Poitier's acceptance speech was Lifetime Achievement Oscar was by far one of the most powerful acceptance speeches ever! YAY!!! Love, Noah Eaton |
