If you wish you can even have one for each decade you have memory of.... heh There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. |

Natural Born Killers. Almost all of the songs are excellent, and sound clips of the film integrated with the music actually give a pretty good audio summary of the film. Also, this album has amazing variety- Patti Smith to Leonard Cohen to NIN to...whoever sings the stupid rap and death metal songs towards the end to Juliette Lewis herself, this soundtrack manages to maintain one of the darkest sounds I've ever heard without sounding trite, whiny, or excessive. Conan The Barbarian (1982). Carmina Burana, by Karl Orff, is incredibly chilling and powerful...especially as background music for Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones). [This message has been edited by Alicat (01-10-2002 01:58 PM).] |

"1492 - Conquest of Paradise" and "Blade Runner." I'm sorry, but nothing tops Vangelis. |

How many aritst other than the beatles have made albums that later became movies and then soundtracks? There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. |

Gotta agree with Allan here, nobody composes theme music like Vangelis. But, Allan, what about his earlier track for the Japanese film, 'Antarctica'? That's what got me hooked. |

Grey - Yeah, it's all good... Vangelis is a genius, there's no doubt. SEA - The Matrix has a wonderful soundtrack... lots of talent on that album. Although I don't even remember where "Du Hast" appeared in the film... (and I don't like it when a song is picked for a soundtrack because it's the most well-known of an artist's work. ah well...) |

Way too hard to pick just one... Bridget Jones's Diary The Crucible Moulin Rogue Lord of the Dance ...in no particular order... although to be honest, I think Lord of the Dance would have to be near the top! I was given a limited edition cd and video set for Christmas and I love it to death! Bec "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you.
