Friends are to be loved and cared for, so that when you need them, they'll be there. I have friends that I may only see once a year, but email frequently. They know all they have to do is call and I'll be there, and the same if I called them. |

Friends are there to offer love... and to be given love. They are the ones I can act completely goofy with and not think I'm a wierdo  They are the first ones I cry to... they are the ones I laugh with, the ones I recall so many memories with. The ones I could never ever live without. The ones I love unconditionally with all my heart. |

To get married and then tell you that it's easier to see the other married couple rather than single you, because 'you don't have your own house and it makes playing cards so much easier with four people...but we still love you Kamla - we're not trying to leave you out' Oh really? Oh yes, and to go out on Saturday night with two other married couples but then miss Kamla's poetry reading on Sunday - with prominent New Zealand authors - because the husband feels nauseous. Of course, the wife can't go out without the husband now can she? And this must all be communicated with Kamla only one hour before the entire evening starts... - sorry a bit of venting needed... just what is a friend should be easy to answer in truth it is not one upon whom to depend one who can depend on you ~*~ but much more than that friends will choose to cry with you and you cry with them completely accepting you even knowing all your faults ~*~ even more than that friends will listen to your words when they don't make sense I could write a thousand words and still not define a friend |

Friends...true, are there in good times and bad. They don't mind crying with you, or helping you wash your dirty laundry. They serve tea at your pity party and sympathize as well as kick you in the butt when you need it. They carry you when you fall and never complain about the water weight. They allow you to be yourself and truly think about your feelings. They know how to say "I'm sorry" when they hurt you intentionally or not. *blinks* I think I've just described my husband... *smiles* ~Tier |
