Hi Everyone,
I received this email today and was wondering if anyone else here got it. There are only two poetry sites I frequent and I don't use my home email address on the other one so I'm pretty sure it came from here.
Just curious cause I hate strangers being able to find out so much about me.

Hi Dee - I didn't get that email, but I've received similar ones in the past... Showing your email address on your profile with PiP is totally optional. If you prefer that it not be available, simply edit your profile accordingly....

I think I have in the past...I always send it to trash.

There have been some people out there who 'harvest' emails from poetry sites like Passions...then they either send the spam themselves, or they sell the list to someone else.

I guess just hiding my email is the way to go but I still want people here to be able to get in touch. I guess I will just have to put up with the junk mail.

Nope didn't received that one, but I too received similar ones. Also emails for making your own books and for poetry contests. Thought that they found my email addy at my homepage. Not sure about that. As I surfed a lot too.

I got one kind of like this once, a little bit ago, but I didn't know who it was from. Since it wasn't someone I was familiar with, I deleted it.
