Is there a poet that you'd like to recommend to us here at Passions?  One that you like that you think others might like as well??

I'm going to suggest one right now.

Mark Van Doren

Bibliography

Four Sonnets

Our Lady Peace

I discovered Mark VanDoren sometime in the mid-80s. . . I love his style, and the way that his lines seem just to speak without extra words.  His most famous poem is probably Our Lady Peace, I know that it's one of my favorites.

I hope that you enjoy reading these poems.

Sliding in a bit late, I just read a poetry book by Kim Addonizio. WOW is my comment, you gotta read this. Free verse, long, overdone, and absolutely AMAZING

I'll second FozzyOzzy... never read much by Pharon.
Other than that, today in lit class I drifted from assignment and started reading some poetry by a man named Dennis Cooley.  It's a book of local poetry, he's from Manitoba... and it might not be easy to find anything by him.  "By the Red" was one of those poems I had to read three or four times because it was so awesome...
Take a look.

They call me a madman, but I'm not mad at anyone.
