Okay, it's time yet again to list some of your favourite songs... but this time they can only be from the 80's! why is it that knowing I have some songs to place here (and remember all the ones you listed) makes me feel old all of a sudden? used to be that the eighties weren't that far behind... Take on Me is on of my all time favorite songs, and I think the best Music Video to date! Little Nikki by Prince... not a 'nice' song, but another fave. Uhmm... Prepare for the most unusual 80's list ever. firstly the normal songs. Kids in America -Kim Wilde Circle in the sand/ Heaven is a place on earth - Belinda Caraline 1999 -Prince now for the strange list. Isolation/Love will tear us apart - Joy Division A play/ Hanging Garden - The Cure One I love / End of the world as we know it - R.E.M Mutiny in Heaven/ a catholic skin - The birthday Party. hee hee....yeah BA-BEE!!  you know Prince WAS the 80's LOL (I love that man's voice) *sigh* Mel~ I love every song you listed...... Dead or Alive oh yea...... The Go-Go's all of it...... how can I pick a favorite?! ok.....anything and everything by Prince don't forget Van Halen when David Lee Roth was still "Jump"ing I loved it all that was when Mtv was the only channel on my tv! |

total eclipse of the heart- bonnie tyler angel- areosmith home sweet home- motley crue shout at the devil- motley crue anything else by motley crue (cant tell i used to like them huh?? )four horsemen- metallica fade to black- metlallica master of puppets- metallica living on a prayer- bon jovi you give love a bad name- bon jovi cherry pie- warrant thats all i can think of for now.  cant tell i was a hair band kid huh? the broken  When I was a young man I vowed never to marry until I found the ideal woman. I'd love to list some songs here, but the 80's and 90's are all kind of a blur for me, so I wouldn't want to be hailing tunes from the wrong decade ... How about bands? The Cure The Dead Milkmen A-ha Duran Duran Curve (or was that the 90's?) Pat Benatar Oingo Boingo (freaks -- love 'em) The Pet Shop Boys (though most of their good stuff was in the 90's) Um ... others that pretty much all sounded or tried to sound like the above and looked something like this:  only with stranger colors in the hair and more makeup.... |

PRINCE When Doves Cry, and Purple Rain, two of the greatest songs ever. Loved all the ballads from the big rock bands like Guns N Roses, Posion, Arrowsmith, Nazareth, etc. etc. November Rain comes to mind first. |
