Hey, What is love? Is being in love having "butterflies in your stomach" and being lovey duvey with someone? Well to me its not I its when you don't have butterflies and you feel totally comfortable with the person. I feel that if you love someone you can tell him or her anything not be "speechless" and that your whole relationship isn't based any one thing but a combination of many things. I just want to know what other people think. -- Linc "Once you reach your original goal it seems that the journey was your real accomplishment." |

Love is a power that is mysterious and elusive. The first stage of love is The Butterfly and Speechlessness, then you get the Comfort Zone, the of course you spend lots of time Learning and Coping, and always Learning some more. I guess Love is like Life, it's an ever flowing process, where any one of these stages will repeat itself without warning, leaving you standing there, aware and content, with a slight smile on your lips, a spring in your step, and a feather light weight in your heart, guiding you through the day. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. |

Love is challenging. It's wonderful. I am getting my first tatse of real love. And people are right- you have to love yourself before you can love someone else. I never understood what they meant until now actually...but it's true. Love is when you don't HAVE to say anything to the other person...They already know. Love is when all you have to do is see the smile on your lover's face...and it gives you the strength to do anything. Love is when you feel absolutely completely free and comfortable around someone. Love makes you perfect. Love makes you feel amazing. |

I must disagree with this statement or at least the first part, "I feel that if you love someone you can tell him or her anything not be "speechless" and that your whole relationship isn't based any one thing but a combination of many things." There is a female that I love most dearly and can tell her anything but there is a time period beginning when I first see her that I can say nothing but hi or hello. Her beauty takes my breath away and from what she has told me I am the only one cause no one would let her go so easily if they thought that, but then again I am subborn when it comes to her. Anyway that is my three cents. The White Wolf If life is just a game, when does it end cause I want to get to what is real. |

Sigh...well - whole books have been written on this subject so a few paragraphs could hardly explain it and also - love is above all things - subjective. We all experience it differently. For me? I can only speak of the love I have right now in my life. It took me completely by surprise. I mean completely. There was a moment I realised it was there and BAM it struck me full in the guts - a totally sleepless night lol. And even now it takes me by surprise - so love for me is a surprising thing. It's a complicated situation also - right now we don't live near each other (bit of an understatement - and yes we have met lol...not an internet thing)...but that should change - not soon..but I can wait haha. When I think of him I feel ... warm ...inner warmth - and oddly safe. And so happy sometimes I just smile and smile. Right now love is warmth and trust and joy. And while I feel utterly comfortable around him (when I was with him that is lol)..I can truly be me...I still get speechless simply because of how I feel. We have long periods of silence on the phone - comfortable silence. I almost feel right next to him then. There we are - mush mush MUSH from K.
