So here it is...almost the end of September already. I want to know where the last 3 months went? Who took them? Why does time have to FLY!?

Sharon, I'd like to know where in the heck this last year has gone!
Time is flying WAY to fast, and hey, I'm not always having fun!

I confess. It's all my fault.

I discovered a long time ago that time runs interminably when I have nothing to do. Give me a lazy summer afternoon on the back patio, with my sole goal being to relax, and that day will last forever. Give me a cool autumn evening listening to the whisper of the candle's flame because my small-town-electrical is out again, and the night will seem like an eternity in hell. Give me … well, you get the idea.

Needless to say, this summer has not been boring. Like Goldilocks, my porridge always seems too cold or too hot, my bed too small or too big, and I'm still struggling to find "just right." Summer has disappeared, quite simply, because I filled my plate too full again. I NEED more time, so of course, time is running out. I honestly apologize, though in my own defense, I thought boredom equaled slow time and busy equaled fast time ONLY for me. I didn't realize my actions had repercussions throughout the entire world.

It dropped into the 40's last night, with a brisk breeze softly promising an early (and cold) winter. Tomorrow marks the end of summer in this hemisphere.

And I think I'll spend it on the back patio.

Last time I looked, Sharon, you were chief editor, moderator, Alley-instigator [LOL], and then you leave Passions and go to a job that pays money but is frustrating 'cause you can't play at Passions and I don't EVEN want to know what you do in your spare time [well, I really do, just 'cause...] and YOU'RE asking what happened to summer?  LOL...your summer went south...just like mine!

Um, I think I might've helped Ron out in this temporal absconding, for you see, instead of staying put and spending time working my arse off, I took time to travel around the country, like the irresponsible reprobate that I am. And, during those travels, I spent some time in Michigan. Since I was there, and spent it there, it must've stayed in circulation for Ron to take. For some reason, though...the more time I have to spend, the more time it takes to spend it. Ugh. Brain. Cramp. Need. Coffee.

LOL Ron so you started it all did ya?

It is cold isn't it? brrrrr....and today just as chilly, I don't know about you, but I'm not gonna spend it on my back porch. LOL

Not unless there's a fire nearby somewhere.   Well today is the end or is it tomorrow? And it's cold, and to top it off it's raining! I'll stick to the house...and use that candle for warmth, heck it's as close to a fireplace as I'm going to get. LOL

Sharon I know what you mean, I feel like the year just began, and I've not only lost the last 3 months but the entire year has whizzed by! It's hard to believe we're turning that corner to a new year already!

I heard the capitalists took it....well actually bought it from a cash strapped Mother Nature at 30 cents on the dollar and they're selling Summer Shares on the Nasdaq, the ask price is currently at 1.50/share so get in while the gettings good, only so much sunshine and warmth to go around and I'm sure this is one stock that will go through the roof. I myself just bought three days worth of summer, plan on cashing them in around January, figure that's when the winter blahs will have eaten up all my savings.

*sigh*  Where have all the flowers gone?  Long time passing.....

Time does seem to be slipping away doesn't it?

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

I think I need to move back to that rural 'time stands still' town in Michigan. Maybe THEN things will slow down for me...and Ron, I'll forgive you. For without YOU, there would be no PdV, she would have given up on writing a long time ago!

Ack! No pdV??? For the lady who's TOP of the Top 100 on the main site ... don't you ever stop writing Sharon!!!

In all seriousness, and I don't know where this thread is going, but Ron ... without you ... there'd be no "me" writing either. I'd mostly just written for myself or family, and since I've been here, I've been stretching a bit ... I can't thank you enough for this opportunity to spread my wings. Many, many thanks for this wonderful haven (even if you do steal summers!)

Yes, the flow of time has become much too quick. But I guess we just have to go with it, cause who can swim aganst time?

False gems may shine as brightly as the genuine article, but there are always those who can tell the diffrence.

I'm tired of summer..I long for cold winter days. Yes, I am insane. A year ago, I was crazy about the heat and relaxation..but now I'd rather be standing somewhere dark and stormy. perhaps it is my fault for all the wishing. I hae been known to make things happen

and I HATE TIME ahhh..glad to get that out

insanity is not a crime

I'm getting old... I'm gonna be a university girl on the 15th! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Tomorrow I'll be an old maid hag with a thousand animals in a trailer park!

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee
