First-grade, recess..

I was innocently minding my own business with my little girl-friends, when "the group" of rowdy playground boys came running up, pushed on by their fearless leader - Christopher Cage.

Chris was a brat no doubt, and when I turned to see what the commotion was all about, he was standing in front of me with this evil little smirk on his face.  He then promptly ran up, and literally mashed me in the face with his head.

With blood dripping out my nose, and tears streaming down my face...in my best little girl whine, I cried "What was thaaaaaaat foooooor??!"

Christopher looked at me like I had just asked the most retarded question ever, said "I gave you a kiss...duh." and walked off muttering "stupid girls. stupid stupid..mumblemumble...girls...stupid."

LOL  Ah sweet youth!

I was much older and certainly much more mature... I had to be at least ten... and Wayne G was just a bit older (maybe 11)- He lived down the street from me... I thought the boys were all playing football and the girls were hanging out by the rocks on the edge of the field.. I heard the boys doing a countdown - backwards
10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..

At the stroke of zero, Wayne came bounding over the top of the rocks, planted a big kiss on me, and kept on running... I think it was one of the few moments in my life when I was rendered speechless...

Well, we were an "item" for some time after that (perhaps a month or so) -  but all we did was sit in the same seat on the school bus... We were too young to date - neither of us knew how to be an "item" - and nary another kiss was to be had - So we stopped sitting together, and it was all over...

Let's see - When was the next one??... Um.. That's another silly story....

OK - Now that the laughter's subsided a bit...

Julie - *sigh* - Blonde hair, blue eyes, must have been almost six... I really liked her (loved then, I think was the word...) so I decided to give her a "ring."

The ring was a plastic band from one of those games where you can string the circles together... Well anyway, I shyly (yes, I used to be shy) approached her whilst twirling on the merry-go-round. As soon as it stopped, I stood there with my toe twisting in the dirt, eyes looking anywhere but at her, and held out my hand with the "ring."

She asked me what it was...

"It's a ring, stupid."

She got all excited, shoved it on her finger and bowled me over with the second sloppiest kiss I've ever had. (The first sloppiest, I'm afraid, was much later and would have to be told in Adult...) Anyway - that about covered the relationship. She kept the ring and stopped talking to me (a portent of the future, perhaps..?)

*SIGH*

I still remember her... we were friends after that... But lost track of her when my family moved to Colorado - too bad, bet she turned out to be a fox!

LOL at all the cute stories! I was about 10, and the boys in my class were being silly and chasing the girls all over the school grounds. I was fast, and took off running ... my long pony-tail flying out behind me.  DF caught up to my pony-tail, grabbed it, and with a shriek, down I went. In the ensuing struggle, he wound up giving me a great big kiss ... apparently NOT what was in the script. A few of the other kids saw, and teased him mercilessly. That was the end of that!

The cute thing was, we ended up working together when we were about 18, he was a groundskeeper and I was the "pool girl". I came into work with a pony-tail one day, and without a word, he came up from behind, tugged my pony-tail and gave me a little wink. Nothing more needed to be said.

Well, I was five we were playing kissing tag. I was in love with this older more mature women she was eight, her name was Brenda Grimblebee. Since that kiss I can't get enough, obviously to the reaction of some of my dates. Hay take a breather pal.

We went to a school awards banquet and were sitting together making jokes and laughing (my idea of flirting then I think). Well I was 15 years old, and it was with our very own handsome Dusk Treader.  We'd both been thinking about doing it for a while, but neither one of us could muster up the courage...after a while it finally occured however.  A pretty boring, average little kiss, but hell, we learned pretty quick how to do things right.    We split up not too long after that, but started dating again this past June and things are better than ever.  And he still sends shivers right through me every time he kisses me...

Mine was age 14, like a washing machine, too much tongue - couldn't breathe! I think he thought that to kiss, you didnt have to actually use your lips. haha. And even though it was my first 'proper' kiss, i still knew it wasn't well, good. at all!   

I do look back at the innocence of it all with fondness tho.

I remember being 5 (yes 5), I was in kindergarten class and every time I stepped out to go to recess this kid, Mark H, would chase after me. He was always mean. Then one day we were having a birthday party for me in class and as soon as I hit that door to go to recess, he chased me, catching me and kissing me. That was my first kiss AND my first punch.

Well, I was 7 years old. My neighbor (girl of the same age) and I used to hike through the woods in the summer....I'm from a very small town! There was a cave we used to go to alongside a creek. The older kids had a rope tied to a tree where they would swing themselves out over the creek and drop off. Anyway my neighbor (Patty) and I were there one day at the cave by ourselves and I asked her if I could kiss her. She said no. I had six pennies in my pocket that I had found in the gravel at the Andy Backy Tavern parking lot. I offered them to her. She took them and gave me possibly the most microscopic kiss in history.

I still refer to that cave as "Old Six Cents"...and i've been paying for it ever since

And his eyes weren’t the same, the second time around, either.  He drew back, and had tears in his wonderful hazel eyes.  I wasn’t sure why.  The shy and cynical side of me in myself feared he was disappointed and sorry of his choice for his claim of asking a first kiss.  Knowing him from school, and the neighborhood, and the girls in it…I figured he reckoned I was his safest bet.

I was not vain then, nor do I think I am, now.  I still wonder at men…and always approve, for the most part, of who they DO look at, and after.  But that day, I kissed a boy who probably grew into some fine young man, now most likely a grandfather and such.  

And I wonder if he recalls that moment, at all.

It was the first kiss.

no i'm not a sentimental wuss(mostly), the only reason i remember the date is it's the same day as the kennedy assassination(fitting as she assassinated my freedom, fun, and wild boy image..sighs). also because november is an absolutely crappy month for me. it was the first time ever something good happened in november(until recently that is)

we snuck the keys to the yearbook council, we both heistated and then both went for it at the same time, the result was us knocking teeth together. when we stopped laughing we went in for the kill but an annoying friend kept knocking on the door. later, alone, we had a proper kiss outside, not only was it perfect, but as we did it started to snow, like something out the movie serendipity, except while michelle was beautiful, she wasn't kate beckinsale.

Oh Larry, I absolutely agree that it is never too late to have a good childhood, for I feel younger than ever and happier, and I had a tough boyhood, where I just didn't fit in social circles and was often subject to bullying and peer pressure.

I guess I'm just a late bloomer here in terms of kissing, reading of all the other cute stories, but I believe someday soon I will be rallying and catching on up.

absolutely agree larry. as a matter of fact, most people who speak to me assume i'm 13 lol

lol karilea i never said i was 13...but my mom was 13 at the time..pauses for collective groan. grins. see, this is why i'll never state my age, older pip'ers give ya the ol' 'i wish i were that young!' bit, but certain things have taken toll on my body leaving it much older than it is..you're gonna hav to trust me on this
