Like I already said Nannerneener, Grape Nuts in unflavoured plain ass yogurt taste great. Now, the flavoured stuff, well, you can put whatever you please in that...guacamole, pomegrates, tripe, whatever floats your boat. But with unflavoured, Grape Nuts wins. Why? Because I said so. Neener neener neener!!! ------------------ Le Jongleur Aspirante avec les bete chapeaux Well, so far Nan and I are split, with Poet deVine siding with Nan and the Green Polar Bear siding with me, and one undecided loopy administrator. Give me frozen yogurt any day! Grape nuts is for breakfast...with sugar and milk....might as well scoop up some tiny pebbles and grind them into the yogurt...tastes the same! [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 06-09-99).] |

Eat your grape nuts plain. Why ruin them by putting them in yogurt? And why would anyone eat something that says "contains live cultures" ???? Disgusting. |

ok, this will probably kill the discussion, and feel free to edit it, my feelings will not be hurt. Yoghurt should be live, and natural, otherwise it wouldnt kill the yeast infection.... as for eating it, I side with ron. |

Only Yoplait, any berry flavor (no strawberry though, no plain, vanilla, peach, lime, anything other that berry). Prefer the Breakfast yogurt blend but in lieu of that I would through in some Grape Nuts, or preferably a healthy dose of Wheat Germ. ------------------ Dum spiro, spero JP |

I am not a big fan of Grapenuts, although I like the yogurt that comes with fruit on the bottom and you have to stir it up and mix it in. Yum! And yes Nan, yogurt is a VERY important topic to discuss. I mean, how THOUGHT PROVOKING reading the post has been! I know that some people are VERY passionate about their yogurt! LOL! Maybe someone will become inspired to write a poem about yogurt and (ewwwwww) Grapenuts! Hey, you never know... [This message has been edited by Emmy (edited 08-14-99).] |

Against my better judgement (because eating yogurt is unmanly and Balladeer and Toerag might be told I eat the stuff), I prefer the flavored yogurt with strawberries or blue berries in the bottom. I have tried several times, and the unflavored yogurt just slaps my palate silly with all kinds of repulsive impulses. |

I like LngJhnAg reply. The yogurt with fruit is great with grape nuts granola or any nutty flavored cereal. Plain yogurt was just some guys mistake that forgot to put the fruit in. |

I'm sorry but you people are weird! Grape NUTS?! We don't, as far as I know, have those where I live. WHAT ARE GRAPE NUTS? Is it like the seed or something? Don't laugh at my ignorance!! Oh - fat free is tasteless - reduced fat, in the middle, is better. |

Saxoness! Amen! LOVE the banana cream pie and raspberry peach melba… mmmmmm If it can't be Yoplait, it MUST be Dannon: Fat-free, fruit on the bottom, NO grape-nuts. If you must add something crunchy, soy clusters are FABULOUS, but only with Yoplait. If you add anything to a Dannon yogurt, especially fruit-on-the-bottom, you must not have a tongue. It's weird that you started this thread, Nan! I am SUCH a yogurt addict! The entire bottom shelf of my fridge is taken up by Yoplait containers (I'm not kidding) … and think about how small those containers are. And… yep! I think I have to go grab one now. ~ Beth p.s. I LIKE Grapenuts! And I eat them PLAIN with SKIM MILK! Anti-health freaks go ahead and vomit... p.p.s. Why does Word recognize "Yoplait" as a word, but not "Dannon"? Hmmm… |

I must stand up and defend the lowly, yet ever tasty Grape Nut! As was stated earlier. . . Grape Nuts is a wonderful cereal made here in Michigan by the Post company. . . they are crunchy bits of wheat and barley that don't get soggy in milk quickly, thus adding to your breakfast experience. . . I have enjoyed Grape Nuts since I was a child. . . have you ever had them warm? You put them in the Microwave for about 20 seconds and then add some honey. . . mmmmm. . . now that's good eatin'!! Grape Nuts in yogurt is a wonderful thing. . . makes it all crunchy. . . but the yogurt must Yoplait. . . possibly the finest yogurt known to man. . . Fruit on the bottom kinds (like Dannon) tend to be too sweet and have too much sugar. . . Yoplait is closer to real yogurt. . .having more active cultures than most yogurts. . . and, not only that. . . it's creamier and tastes far superior to every other brand that I've tried. . . and now, they have these wonderful new Custard flavors that are thicker and creamier than the regular. . . mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . Now, as to flavors of yogurt. . . any berry kind will do wonderfully. . . Strawberry Blueberry Raspberry Mixed Berry But, Yoplait also has WONDERFUL kinds like Orange Popsicle (I think that's what it's called) and Strawberry-Kiwi!! Not to mention. . . Strawberry Cheesecake!!!! Well. . . I think that about covers it. . . and if you've never tried Grape Nuts, I strongly urge you to pick up a box. . . one taste and you'll be hooked!!! Fruit on the bottom--preferably blueberry, but the fruit has to be mixed in. Haven't tried it with grape nuts so I don't have an opinion on that. And the live cultures are the best part! Elizabeth |

SVEN! On account that you made me drool, I think I have to reply. Grapenuts are SOOOO good like that!!! I use to have them heated & steaming with honey curled over them every morning for like three years! How could I forget?!?!? And Yoplait is the best, and... and ... the Custard is so afsdnjfnsjnviksdnknklvnklsd;nfvnlknfvd…~wipes chin~ *sigh* but I can't let myself eat too many of those 'cuz I'd look like the Michelin man … and the strawberry cheesecake is awesome, but have you tried the white chocolate strawberry, or the Boston cream pie, or the coconut cream pie or the peach mango? Also, (listen up peeps!) Yoplait is now sending 10cents to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for every lid mailed in (I've already sent them two full yellow business envelopes in the last two months … LOL) Feed an addiction, and help save lives! Take that, yogurt haters! ~ Beth standing triumphant on her computer chair with a spoon (and a little pale pink blob on her lip). OK - Grape Nuts sound nice - sorry Nan...but they really do...really. I like things that don't go soggy in milk for Soggy In Milk = Inedible lol soggy cornflakes...brrrrrrrrrrr... Sven - 'Strawberry-Kiwi' - now you must credit my wonderful (and I am so not patriotic lol) country for this...Kiwi fruit... sigh...YUMMY fruit.. but I don't think we get kiwi fruit yogurt funnily enough Hmmm... Why not I wonder? We grow the stuff... K < !signature--> The wind shifts like this: Like a human without illusions... This is how the wind shifts: Like a human, heavy and heavy, Who does not care. BETH!!! Finally! Another voice of reason amid the madness!! I've loved Grape Nuts since I was about 10. . . I'm going to have to pick up a box the next time I go shopping!! But you are SO RIGHT about the Custard style. . . OMG. . . it's just so wonderful. . . but you're right, can't have TOO many of those. . . but yes. . . white chocolate strawberry. . . wonderful. . . Boston cream pie. . .to die for. . . will have to try the others that you mentioned. . . but I'm sure that they're all wonderful!!!!! And Beth's right about the pink lids people!! I saved a few. . . sent them in. . .although not a yellow envelopes worth!! LOL (and I thought I liked yogurt!!) Oh, and here Beth, you might want a napkin for that. . . Severn. . . I thank NZ for kiwi on a regular basis. . . I've always wondered, like you, why we don't have "Kiwi flavored" whatever. . . it's always "Strawberry-Kiwi". . . I mean, Kiwi are wonderful by themselves. . . just so juicy and sweet. . . mmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . And my friend, welcome to our Grape Nuts clan. . . I'm sure that you'll enjoy them. . . To thoroughly enjoy yogurt, it must be bought by the quart - - and subsequently used for dipping ... good combinations are: lemon yogurt and oatmeal cookies, vanilla yogurt and ANY cookie (sugar free of course, I'm not fond of diabetic comas), strawberry yogurt and fresh ripe bananas ... occasionally I became adventurous (mostly due to a cookie shortage) and embellished my yogurt with Special K ... Sorry Ali, but I was never into Grape Nuts, as they taste like little rocks and twigs! Michael |

I'va always enjoyed yogurt smoothies, made with fresh fruit and (usually) vanilla yogurt ... delicious and nutritious ... On a lighter note, a little observation about Ron's reply to this topic: 1) reference to diaper contents (entirely unecessary, I might add, but rather funny) 2) Author of said reference is a resident of Colon, Michigan ... Coincidence...? I THINK NOT!! hehehe **Linda slinks away hoping not to be banned from the kingdom by the Great Wizard** Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers. |
