I'm sure Marge was a wonderful person.
But you know what I've noticed ?
It seems that in "Open Poetry", if you add something you hope will get you some feedback, it won't be longer than 5-10 minutes before all those people who DID know her come and bury your submission underneath TODAY'S latest 50 odes to Marge....
Is this fair ?
Couldn't there be a Special Area just for Marge poems, where the daily deluges of inspirations do not overshadow absolutley everything else ?

People here who did know are surely going to think I'm just some kind of jerk - but I'm not intending to be.
But everyday I login here it's like coming back to a funeral that never ends...

Hi DharkOne,

You won't be lynched.  Honest.  Give the grieving some time and things will get back to "normal".  I have been away and started catching up five pages ago, so I bumped a lot of the more recent poems by responding to the poems that I had missed.  Yours will probably end up at the top again soon.  One way to help get responses is to give responses - also respond to the comments that are written on your poems.  We all like to know that we are 'heard'.

Yes, it's a bit like a wake right now in PiP.  But, isn't it nice to know that you are among a close-knit group of people who will care about you too.

Take care and I look forward to reading your poetry.

Alison

all emotions aside, you have a point.

I think that would be a good idea for the suggestion box, and we do have one

a forum just for mourning. Not really a bad idea at all. But? the thing with open is, it's well, open.

Marge was(is) loved by many, literally around the world. Go gently into that one...it still hurts, she just passed.

Dhark, you received some good suggestions. Given that you've been around all of less than a week, you'll get to know us, and know our tendencies, just as we will come to know yours.

As for "feedback" if you really want some good critique, I would suggest that you might want to dip your pen into Critical Analysis. It's not as scary as it sounds

Once again, Welcome to Passions!
