Well I just wanted to introduce myself...Im new to poetry forums, I usually stick to the outdoor and survival forums (Im basically a southern country boy LOL)After having my first book of poetry published a month or so, ago my fiance thought it would be a good idea to start checking these forums out. Ive read a few and its really inspiring to see how many people actually enjoy poetry as much as I do. I hope to be fairly active as I work from home 90% of the time...Im "Technicaly" a writer but I cant stand to be sittin down for more than an hour or so...so I keep myself busy as a survival consultant for the Discovery Channel show "Survivorman" as well as working as an arborist/forester on occasion. I have always ejoyed writing poetry as well as writing it. And just to fore warn you...I CAN NOT SPELL and my only real eloquence in writing is in my poetry and other works, not my post LOL. I cant wait to read more here as well as share a few of my own.... And if your interested you can check out my website (Currently under construction) http://www.publishedauthors.net/brianbrewster/index.html "In Between" by Brian T Brewster now available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble |

Your poetry book has a gorgeous cover, Brian. Isn't PublishAmerica a wonderful company to work with? I've had a novel published with them, and have encouraged several other writers and poets to work with them in the last three years. Looking forward to reading more from you! I actually looked around for a better contract...and couldnt find one!!! When it comes to poetry it seems that you have to have an obsene amount of money to get started...and it was nice to see that that wasnt the case with Publish America. Sad that it took me 15yrs just to even try...and 15yrs of gettin yelled at for NOT gettin published LOL Now I only need to worry about gettin yelled at to publish everything else!!! At this point I have about 4-5 more books worth of poems to publish...but I figure Ill release them about every 6 months to a year to space them out. Ive been stumped for months on the fiction Im writing though...Reading all these other works is inspiring though, its funny how the phrase of a poem might inspire something completely off the subject of the original poem...EXACTLY what I needed! I know the feeling. I'm currently working on my first poetry manuscript and hope to get it sent in soon. It's all the polishing, y'know? ![]() It's not like I don't have a few years worth of accumulated writings, either. |

I know what you mean...it took me almost a year just to figure out what I wanted to be in the first book...I date all of my work though so I opted to just go in order...but then of course right before the deadline came I threw in a few new ones I wrote for my fiance.....Have to be a little romantic LOL |
