Okay, the year is officially up. My fiance is a movie buff, and I guess by extension that makes me one as well? What were your fav movies this year? And what sucked?

Sweeny Todd blew me away-- any fan of wordplay and lyrics should see it- but not the faint of... stomach

Juno choked me up and made me laugh at the same time.

The Darjeeling Limited left me underwhelmed (and I love Wes Anderson).

Harry Potter 5- because yes, I am both a child and a nerd at heart. And Pirates 3 for the same reason.

Black Snake Moan- pure kitsch. It was great!

The Mist- one of the most disappointing, poorly directed and poorly acted pieces of crap I've every seen. And from the creative team that produced The Shawshank Redemption.

That's it for now... I'm sure I'll think of more.
