A few weeks ago, I joined Piptalk, to do something about this two year writers block I've been going through. When I first came here I was really looking forward to posting up some stuff, but so far I haven't been able to get around to doing it. Worse after being here, so many authors have a lot of great stuff, that quite frankly I am just plain intimidated against posting. I don't have much computer time anymore, so that pretty much rules out writing(I have tendonitis, because of which I can't hold a pen for longer than 5 minutes before my hand locks up). I have my personal archives, but I dunno if I should even bother posting it up, as it is my old stuff. I was hoping to get in some new stuff, but whenever I have something on the edge of my brain, I get distracted, or something happens and I lose the moment. I can't store my archives on the computer as it is a shared computer-and an old quirky machine which ends up being reformatted weekly, which would cause me to lose anything I save on this thing, at that. While I am not objected to posting up my older material, I was really hoping to formulate some new stuff if I could only get the time to do so. Anyone have any ideas, or suggestions, about anything I've just said? |

I am the best at finding reasons why I can't write. From no time, to computer problems, to a just plane stubborn muse...I've got them all. So, you are not alone. My suggestion is, if you want to write....you will make the time first, and then just do it. Try to do it without the critic sitting on your shoulder. He stops me many times. If that doesn't work, then I, for one, would like to see your old stuff. I've been reposting alot lately, because my writer seems to have deserted me. Good luck!! |

Can you copy all of your 'old stuff' onto a disk and then from some other location that doesn't require constant babysitting, post some of it here? Old is OK, LOL, and to us, it will be new anyway. Good luck! And Martie is right, don't let your muse critic stop you! |

Paint your walls white, it acts like a blank canvas for ideas. Talking about ideas if you can't record them by pen then get a tape recorder and tape your ideas instead. If your afraid of the dark, then why did you come? |
