Well in Vancouver we are so close to recording the soggiest season in more than five decades, with Environment Canada predicting more rain through this weekend. (It's raining as I type this, but someone said sun tomorrow, but who knows in Vancouver?)

Today was the 27th consecutive day of rain, closing in on the record of 28 consecutive rainy days, set in 1953.

It rained in Southern Calif. today too...but not very much.   We need it!  I hope you have a clear day tomorrow...it would make me crazy if it rained that many days, I think?

Chris is right Sharon..
we have a saying down here.
"If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes!"

It has been an extremely mild January though.
This is usually when we have our deep freeze.

If it doesn't rain today there are going to be millions of people here REALLY ticked off!  It's dark and dismal out there, so probably will.  We are one day away from breaking that record, but then after all this is "Raincover."

That's ok, we had 13 days with no sun followed by four days of Spring and then a snowstorm yesterday.

No nobody is messing with nature . . . naw.

The sad part is I seem to think we are the ones who have caused this you think?

Well looks like we will tie the record for rainfall tomorrow - whoopdedo.

Get this!  It rained yesterday but now they wonder - did it rain enough?  Rain enough?  What does that mean?  It is still raining today and in my books that means we beat the record!  Seattle has 33 days as their record down there in Washington and the way it is going we may even beat that!  It is dark, dreary, and miserably wet here, but I still love this place better than any place on earth (Cape Cod is second   of course!)

Here you go the latest news on the weather.

Oh Maree, I dont' wear my UGG boots outside in rain or snow, they would get dirty (they are for show with jeans!) LOL, and yes the slippers keep my tooties so toastie warm.

Here everyone, Maree sent me this site for sheepskin boots and slippers, they are awesome and way cheaper than they sell over here!

Oh well boots/weather are sort of related topics right?

Otis Oregon had 79 days of rain in a row in 1998. Ugh. Oahu had 247 says of rain in a row between 1993 - 1994. Yikes.

I'm in Portland and we have had 28 days of rain today (maybe 29).

I'm so tired of my car leaking, my hair being frizzy, and my toes being wet.
Boohoo.
Where are you spring!?

Well yesterday we were all a bit disappointed when the rain actually let up after raining 27 consecutive days, (just one day short of equalling a 53-year-old record.)  Our Environment Canada said even though it did rain some there was no measurable amount of rain to record yesterday on the official rain gauge at the Vancouver airport weather office in Richmond.  It rained you would think that would count wouldn't you?  It still raining too!

I know the feeling, wet feet, straight hair, and I am beginning to believe in "S.A.D." too!  Spring will be a welcome sight for sure.

At least two-tenths of a millimetre of rain would have had to fall to make it count.
