that i'm wearing a latex glove that i stole from the doctor's office?

worse yet,

Why would you want to steal anything from your doctor's office? It may be something insignificant, but it wasn't yours to take, was it?

Latex gloves can be purchased at any pharmacy (or even WalMart) by the box for very little money. Wouldn't you feel better about yourself if you just bought your own?

as a roman catholic i felt it necessary to consult with the Emissary of God Supreme (EGS)Benedict XVI before answering. according to him, while the church has no official stance against latex and naughtiness, the usual 'if it feels good its a sin' should apply

(ok, so I used to be a nurse . . .)

I guess the question is:  what exactly are you DOING with the glove and does it involve:

1.  dishwashing
2.  painting
3.  another human being
4.  yourself.

That is where the naughtiness lies, although if you get your kicks from soapy bubbles and dirty dishes, hey -  I am never one to scrutinize another's pleasures . . . LOL

Either way, no big deal, trust me, they make enough money you can do with the glove whatever you damn please.  Life is too short to worry about those things.  If it made you feel bad, it is because you have a conscience . . . *smile*

When my mother-in-law was in the hospital being treated (or made comfortable) for cancer, I, not being able to handle neither the fact that she was dying nor that all the kids (adult type) were falling apart...I went out in the hall and spotted a box of purple latex gloves...(purple is my favorite color). I snatched one up and put it on. I kept it on. Anything I had to do with that hand was wildly exaggerated to show off my purple latex.

I got some smiles that day from people that were watching their mother die.

Life is too short...enjoy your latex (and share your latex induced joy with others, they will thank you for the experience)!!!

Nan - I honestly don't think it was really much of a crime. So I won't be feeling much guilt unless they end up with only one glove once they get to the end of the box..kind of like the missing sock after the wash, only a lot less expensive, even.

I don't feel naughty for STEALING it! I know stealing is WRONG, but it really depends on what you steal. I suppose it's better that it wasn't a dollar.

I just thought it might be what the word "latex" sometimes associates itself with in the brain.

oh megs...you made me smile, lady. Is it wrong?

While waiting in the exam room for the doc, I got bored. (That happens easily with me.) So I started blowing up the things into "hand balloons".

When he came in he looked at me and shook his head. (The man does know me inside and out.) I was immediately filled with guilt and offered to pay for them.

He gave me the entire box but told me to keep them in my purse and not tell any of his other patients, because then, well,

"everybody would want some"
