I wonder if anyone here at Passions will ever be a FAMOUS poet, like we read in literature. Of corse, the most famous artists have become so after their death.

In 1 or 200 hundred years, will future generations read our messages in English class,
or see them in plays? I like to think so. I hope that someday, my art will inspire, even after I'm gone.

" Now what do you THINK about that? "

There are certainly poets good enough to be published here, and memorized - famous?  Who knows - possible - but I know to me these folks will be well worn pages in my book- dog eared and passionately pursued -

We already have many poets published.  Our own Passions anthologies are just the beginning.

Among the grand lot - Ruth, hoot_owl, has appeared in many publications - Elizabeth Santos has several of her works being used as lyrics for musical publications - Sunshine is looking at publication of her novel - Brian Long has recently had a book of his works published - We've got another (name escapes me) published in "Chicken Soup" - and (to be a tad self-serving) I have been fortunate enough to have my work included in academic texts teaching technical poetry writing... There are more as well.

Our members are indeed talented...

Thank you Nan.  What makes me excited about the fact that not only am I in contract negotiations for my novel, but the story contains ... poetry.     So I'm getting both a fictional piece of work published along with several of my poems...

Now, before I burst my own bubbles, I'll hush.

While I don't know what to say, I can agree, that it's an interesting thought. I often wonder what will come of the memory of me once I am gone.
