I have decided to try and put together a little book of my own poetry as Christmas gifts this year for some of my closest friends. I want it to be nice, but I cannot afford to go all out. Thought about going to Kinkos and see what kind of binding they can do and how much it woudl cost me for about 20 or so books put together. I know some of you out there have a little experience in doing this and I would love some suggestions. It will only be about 25 poems and I thought around 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for size so that they could just cut pages in half. What do you guys think? Thanks and God bless - Tim He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 |

I have used Perry myself and he does a good job BUT you can do this all yourself if you have a printer? You just make one copy and take it up to a printing place and they will run them off for you, cut them and bind them. I have done that with all the children's stories and poems I do for my family and it costs so little that way. I think even Staples (do you have them where you live?) does it. Basicall set your page up to put two poems on a page or you can even do them in columns and presto, the beauty is you made it yourself! Plastic laminate the covers and get them Zerlox-bound, and I am not sure there but my cost for a 100 pages bound turned out only to be $3.20 each, and they were first class in presentation. Email Elizabeth Santos, she does this non-stop ![]() |

I know someone who had their book published on line..it was very nice..not very thick in black and white and cost her over 500.00 for the minimum amount of copies... Why not buy yourself a program if you have a computer.. and print out your own and then just take the papers to Staples or somewhere like that and have it spiral bound. Better still make your own and then stitch it together yourself and make a cover etc...honestly if it is just for friends as gifts it would be just as nice. Now if you want to sell them that is another story. Maureen |
