What offends you? Lately, I have been getting peeved off for some odd reason. Maybe it's just hormones.  Anyway, I was just curious.  |

Interesting question... I am offended by injustice, mistreatment of those that are unable to fight back, and I think most of all by people who have "opinions" about things that they have no knowledge about... regardless of the subject... and who will scream at the top of their lungs to make you forget they have no clue what they are talking about. I am also offended by the infield-fly rule, Pete Rose is not reinstated, and that John Wayne was only ever given one Academy Award. I tbhink that should cover it. ~You might say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one... |

Not a lot does to be perfectly honest. Things annoy the hell out of me quite frequently but to be offended...nah. I'm offensive to some people but they get over it.  I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant. |

I am offended by people who lie to me. That tells me that they think I'm stupid. What makes it even worse is when I do believe a lie, not because I'm stupid but because I trusted them. I am also offended by the "know-it-all" types. I can't stand people who think that their life, their information, etc. is SO MUCH MORE important than my (or anyone else) life....I hate when people don't listen....I take the time to listen, and if I have a friend who doesn't reciprocate, that offends me.... LOL I guess you caught me on a bad day.... |

Poet deVine, those are things that I think offends all of us, I wish we don't even have those. Ringo, I agree wth you. I can't stand when people think they know what they are talking about but really have no clue, or who spread harmful lies. And, personally, I refuse to watch the Academy Awards anymore. anonymousfemale, I don't think your offensive. Unless you refuse to never shower. lol  KristieSue, Never, ever let anyone tell you that you are stupid. I have had that happen in my life and took it to heart. Then I relaized where the sorce was coming from and and decided not to feel so bad after all. Some people need to put others down to make them feel better about who they are.  I think, for me, it is a fine line between being peeved off and being offended.lol I guess lately it has been that way. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania, populations about 8,000 if that. Most everyone is either a blue collared worker, poor or retired. I have no problem with any of these considering I am in the blue collared catagory. I do however am annoyed with some people that are on welfare and wic yet have a huge swimming pool in their backyard. They will buy a huge screen TV yet no shoes for there kids. Some of them live better then most hard working Americans. I happen to be the one that lives next door to almost all of them. The way they abuse the system and our tax dollars OFFENDS me. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against public asst. However, I do have a problem with people that abuse it. They work a job here or there, just enough to keep the goverment happy but not enough to be taken off welfare. And there I am struggling to keep my head above water and they just bought a brand new living room set. UGH!! give me a break. Thanks everyone. |

Inconsideration-- this seems like a simple thing, but as I was raised with thoughtfulness, so much so that the lack of such is not only offensive, but much to my naivety---a shock. Manners are just rules for people who don't think of others--that is what I was taught anyhow. |

Offends me? Lately, not much, but EVERYTHING irritates me to no end. Why? Not a clue, but I hope I'm done with this moodyness soon. People are starting to avoid me now  If I love you enough will you feel it over the distance? |

There isn't much that really offends. The only one I can think of is lying to me. Lying is SO disrespectful there is no way it can't offend me. Ok I thought of another one... LOL. I really really REALLY dislike ppl who are hypocrits. I hate when somebody tells me or anyone they cannot do somethng, and then turn around and do the EXACT THING. I have very little tolerance for ppl like that. I don't get offended anymore, I'd rather not give the person trying that power. I try not to offend people, I try to be tolerant of their beliefs and ideas, even if they don't align with my own, however there was one time when I hope I DID offend a particular person... When I was in highschool a teacher yelled at me, 'you will never make anything of yourself and will get nowhere in life.' That stung. Years later I saw him again at a convention. I walked straight up to him and said, 'When I was your student you told me I would get nowhere in life, now I'm a teacher like you. Think about that." and I walked away with a big smile on my face. |

The thing that offends me the most is this... For any person to JUDGE another human being. I always say "Don't judge me, or anyone else if you haven't walked in our shoes." As humans, we can sometimes serve as JUDGE & JURY to the world around us. We should all concentrate on looking at the world through a wider view instead of a toilet paper roll. hehe Icy I am totally with you. It amazes me how much I can feel from simply glancing into the depth of a person's eyes. However, I can't help the fact that I am growing up in a society that classifies men as sex-driven maniacs! All I know is that my father raised me to appreciate women for who they are and what they are worth... the world (and then some). arrgghh...! |

not much offends me if you mean like feeling insulted or wronged or wat have you. but plenty of things piss me off and sometimes that anger gives everyday life a meaning when it gets a little routine. i can see how everythign has its place, but things like predjuidice, war, and all the like, thats just wrong, and we should all pick up the fight to send it straight to hell. The only difference between the creative and the conformists is that the creative will not be conquered and the conformists already are. |
