Sometimes, the nightly news report has me LMAO, even when the threat of war looms. Our peerless leader tonight said that Iraqui soldiers must not follow Saddam's orders, or if they do, when they are captured by our troops, they will be tried and 'persecuted.' Persecuted. That is what he said. I'm assuming he meant prosecuted.??? But then again, this is the same man who always says nucular rather than nuclear. What University did this man attend? I want to make sure my daughter does not attend that school. Was this comment a cowboy's Freudian slip? |

I'd call it another Bushism. Other examples? "Transformationed." "Misunderestimated." "Our nation must come together to unite." And so on and so forth. He's got a ton of them. There's a link out there that just collects them as they come; I'll see if I can find it. -Adam What meaning has a rose when its thorns bear no blood? |

Actually, I believe he went to Ivy League schools (can't remember which, Yale or Harvard was one of them), admitted despite low high school grades... this, of course, is according to Micheal Moore, a potentially biased source... |

Persecute: 1. To oppress or harass with ill-treatment, especially because of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or beliefs. 2. To annoy persistently; bother. ![]() I hope he did mean prosecute ![]() |

LOL at some of your replies. Thanks guys. I'm still shaking my head. It's scary to have such an ignoramus for President. |

Marshalzu- Not a Moore fan? I adore him... but as he comes from the far-left, I can't help but recognize his potential biases any more than I can help but notice Bush's quite obvious biases... and nobody can escape his linguistic predisposition to complete idiocy. ![]() I never called myself unbiased on the matter either, to be sure- you'll always here me cheer Ani DiFranco on when she sings: "And we hold these truths the be self-evident: Number One: George W. Bush is not president..." and so on... ![]() |
