http://jollyroger.com/poets/ A replacement for passions? I think not infact I was horrified that such a method exists. So what do you think is this the way forward or not?

The pirate dialogue on the first page made me sick, and I kept excepting to see Spongebob Squarepants under the name of web master. So I don't like it cuts the jib or whatever the correct sea faring term is. I am happy where I am.

Don't drag the orchestra into this thing
Rattle those sticks, rattle those sticks
The sound is beautiful, its perfect!

This site soars far and above any other... How would anyone find the time to venture elsewhere... or the need... or the desire...

It's a spawn from "hot or not"
Ever seen it before?
People put there pics up to get "judged" hot or not.

Why is it that we are at our most ingenius only when trying to destroy the things that keep us alive and thriving?

Brings back memories.

Believe it or not, jollyroger.com predates Passions and was at one time a very nice poetic community. Five years ago, they ran a poetry forum (using software virtually identical to the Scroll, for those who know what I mean), and I even posted a few of mine there. When last I checked, probably a bit over a year ago, the forum was still there but with very little poetry. Most of the posts were spam advertisements or attacks on those posting the spam, an unfortunately common happenstance with unmoderated forums. Seems, now, they've done away with even that.

Actually I've changed my mind, I like it, anything that makes poetry more accessible to people has to be a good thing.

They have an anthology of Poetry from 1995 to 2000, wonder if they got permission from the poets to publish?
