Hello everyone! Nice to meet you! I was wondering what or who inspires you in your life and your writing?. For me, I have to say that all of you inspired me to write my first poem, (although It's not as good as all of yours) My Mother and father inspired me to be outgoing and careing towards others. And my boyfriend inspires me to open my mind to new ideas and adventures which inspired me to travel across the states next summer meeting new people. How about all of you? |

Miah, Sound like you've got good plans. Life has a funny way of changing those plans without your permission. That's what inspires me. That, and just listening. Mike [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (09-14-2002 04:52 PM).] |

Hmm... I had a suicidal friend who inspired me to never, ever be suicidal, for which I am very grateful. I am often inspired by myself to refrain from doing stupid things, but I always think up something new, so that hasn't been very effective yet. And everything else is unworthy of note. I think. Kielo I LOVE YOU! *kisses you* hehehe... |

bsquirrel That is food for thought for sure. my plans are my dreams, I hope I can do it. wise words indeed bsquirrel. Kielo, That would inspire me as well. I do stupid things a lot, I try to learn from my mistakes, but it never seems to work. Thanks for sharing |

Hello Miah I'm inspired by everyday things the rain, the birds and the silly thoughts that seem to run in circles round my brain *it's quite spacious up there so my Muse has plenty of space to jog*, as for people I don't think people are very inspirational, emotion however now that is a very powerful tool if your looking for inspiration. Cemeteries. I get all the inspiration I need when I'm at a relatives grave. That and tragedy. Happy moments or things that should provoke some sort of joy do absolutely nothing. Imagination=nostalgia for the past, the absent; it is the liquid solution in which art develops the snapshots of reality. |

I find it hard to write strictly about friends or people I know. Though people close to me inspire me I tend to wrap the emotions they inspire into fictional scenes. I find it hard to write observational poetry. Also music inpires me, the tone of the music, I sometimes write lines that I might work in a song, or misheard lines as well. Also films, books and art inspire me, then there is the way a line sounds. BLAH Blah Blah, I am ranting so I shall quit for now. In my life? I don't know, really. Whatever circumstances life hands me. My competition with my sister has inspired me to get into the Top 5 at school. To write? I swear, the weirdest things inspire me to write. Cheese, dishwashers, depression, love, pictures, telephone cords, bees, sex, turtles... the list goes on and on and on. I have a lizard, and his name is Jake. |

Dark, morbidy stuff. While everyone is out crying at a funeral, I'm jotting down ideas in the back row thinking, "Ooo this'd make an absolutely brilliant piece of prose!!" That and "what a shame this person died." Bleck, abnormality is a good thing. While there is pretty colours to be found in the light, the dark brings out the shades we all forget about. I like those shades. "No wonder I do not make people comfortable. I am a mirror. I have far too many things to say." - Mouthing the Words |
