sigh...it takes practice...um. Try rolling them on...and? stockings, another of life's mysteries...another question, why do I spend my time and money and take such care to put something on, only to have them taken OFF with so little regard?  |

ROFL. Seriously, some brands are harder than others. Seems the more expensive, the harder to put on, the easier to run. No nonsense brand is not so hard as most. And yeah, I'm sure a man designed them. Sandra |

because it's a totally unnecessary garment in the summer and spring and fall, it's too warm to wear them in the winter, try single stockings and garters... *grin |

I've worn them twice, and didn't find putting them on at all difficult... though, i wouldn't suggest taking them off if you have hairy legs... *OUCH* |

Designed by a man to hide unsightly things like hair, viens, bulgy knees, and other natural phenomena that males don't like to believe afflict their female counterparts. Unnecessary because there's no need to hide behind a mesh that looks deceptively smooth but itches, rips, and slides down our legs... and hides our lovely, natural legs... I've never run across the opportunity where it is absolutely necessary- not at my high school prom, not at my grandfather's funeral, not at my graduation... I'm kinda still in Doreen's "totally unnecessary" boat. Hmm, there I go with the overthinkin' again... but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend all day fidgeting uncomfortably because of a popular conception about female beauty... The thing about blaming the males (despite how much fun it is) is that females are to blame as well. 95% of the time when I have ever been critcized for my looks it has been by a girl/woman/hag/female thing. Sometimes I think we really dishonor ourselves with our own socially set up standards and demands. I'm never going to be Homecoming Queen, but that's perfectly fine with me. At least I know who I am. I usually get the really nifty ones with all the tuck and lift support, and they are the HARDEST to put on. Really. And rolling them up from the feet...gather the material all the way to the toe, then put them on. It's usually easier...and watch those hangnails. |
