What kind of fan fiction? You should still write if you want to. |

Fanfiction is typically a story written that takes place in a world already established by another series. An example would be if I wrote a story taking place in the Star Wars universe, particularly if that story included any actual involvement by Luke Skywalker or the like. There's some controversy over fanfiction, as some call it a copyright infringment. -Adam |

Although if you are writing fan fiction for Star Wars, maybe you can one day get published through the people who publish Star Wars books. If no one wanted to write fan fiction, dude, we wouldn't get these excesses of series upon series upon series growing by a kazillion in their numbers daily. I see fan fic as a devotion. I know when I was writing Dragonlance stuff (I was .... 10?), I was convinced that I would one day publish this through TSR (the DL company). Of course, once I actually got good at writing, I didn't want to do that anymore. ![]() Though, in a way, I am now guilty of fan fic... Through the fact that I included a musical icon in the key point of one of my stories. Um... Oops? impress me, or be discarded |

I think its ok as long as you don't try to make profit commercially of it. No one can stop you from using your imagination in what way you wish soever, indulging, writing, sharing it privatly. If its outlet and pleasure for you, you should still write fan fiction, don't let anyone discourage you. Essorant. |

"But Girls just degrade your stuff." Um, okay, the rest of the question was cleared up...now? Who are the "Girls"? I guess I should wait to find out, but I do have to wonder, why that would matter? ??? |
