Hello Everyone

I finally was able to make it down and see "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" today. What a movie! I'm now looking forward to Part Two and Three. Ending the first one with a preview for "The Two Towers" was brilliant. I personally loved it, and this was one of my first looks into fantasy. Did you all enjoy the movie?

Sincerely,
Titus

Legolas Greenleaf is the thin-haired blonde guy, right? Who is the one who dies by arrows? I think the actor's name is Sean Benn.

Interesting books I may say, though I could never get really far in them; Even though the Second is my favorite!
As for the Film...I was left speechless, & although the ending left most people bitter, I think it adds to the excitment that is to come when The Two Towers arrive! Now, after renting it, I regret not going to see it in the theater!

There are probably only 3.7 people in the world who haven't seen the movie yet, but for their benefit, let's not get too detailed in describing scenes and plot? No need to give away more than Tolkien already did.

What I think is amazing is that Pete Jackson shot all three moves at the same time. So basically, aside from post-production, all three are ready to be shown. They're being split up over three years, though. He did this because he didn't want the actors to age between movies, or lose people from other movies to different projects.

But can you imagine the confusion and the shooting scripts? My god!

Oh, and I'm surprised you didn't already know Severn's Legolas fixation. She cute like dat. (but not in the same way that Lori's cute, which is all-consuming heh heh)

I kinda liked the film but then again i have read those books a hundred times so i guess nothing would have pleased me, i hope the film will inspire people to read the books if they have not read them before

Ron, just a thought.

If they haven't seen it yet, will those 3.7 really mind if we go into detail? And, if they haven't seen in, wouldn't it be their own fault for going into a thread titled "Lord of the Rings?"

Just curious. I was sitting here thinking, and I started chuckling.

Sincerely,
Titus

The way I got it figured, Titus, Karilea and I seem to comprise over half of the not-seen-it-yet crowd (I knew I was putting on a little weight, but geesh). My excuse? I don't go to theatres and it's only been out on video less than 48 hours. I came into the thread because I hoped to discover if it was worth buying, not to make it unnecessary to buy.

What I've learned so far is that I should buy it IF I like guys with good looking legs?

snort...

did I ruin the experience you're likely not to have there Ron? ~giggle~

I won't tell you what happens when Legolas walks into a meeting..or when Legolas defends his friends...or when Legolas does this or that...I promise

ssssssssss... (quietly, so haven't-seen-it-yets aren't disturbed)....I get to see Legolas again in only a few months in all new scenes...soon soon soon (good word sometimes...)

Good point, Ron.

Legolas is the one with blond hair, correct, with very few lines? I found it rather suprising they didn't use him more. For those of you who have read the book, is he in it more in the written version?

Can I say it again? I'm a Strider fan. Great acting, great character, and, he's a handsome bloke, too.

Sincerely,
Titus

Ron? So if you haven't seen it, and I haven't seen it, and Karilea hasn't seen it, and there are 3.7 people who haven't seen it....who makes up the .7? Last time I checked we all only make up one person. Or has that changed? lol
