Desire's Prey Blown are the mended fortunes once untied and knotted again by the bondage of an undisciplined whim. Thus are the disputes heard in omnipresent cheering voice: a battle within with the brutality of an axe and the mandible clicking of needles in knit. Such power it takes, when souls tremble, with a low rumble of earthquakes with a blinking quickness of lightning, to resist the demonic power of Desire! Yet eternal is the soul even in throes of ceaseless torment Even as it blunders in pursuit of beatitude For it: the soul, is a part of God and cannot perish [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (11-30-2002 05:07 PM).] |
