In every respect Of every last breath Transpired upon Angel lade eyes A preux love caliginously defines: (Regrets are meaningless ashes Stained in the joys of love's touch) The Tenderness of her caress Sorrow will never forget So every memory knows the pain To which weary thought it pertains And hearts are made broken Quietly buried, but not forgotten By hours remaining call Transpired upon pyrexia’s recall A preux love caliginously defines: This we easily sympathize (Regrets are meaningless ashes Stained in the joys of love's touch) Epicrean |

Epicrean: i think you have the essence of a rondel/rondeau here. Personally, i enjoy this type of poetry when it is effectively used. You have achieved that with the repetitive lines. May i suggest you break the stanza's into a complete rondeau or rondel, and this would be exquisite! here is a link for the Rondeau that you may find useful: http://www.geocities.com/bikies_poetry/rondeau.html and here is the main site link for various forms of poetry, explained well, by Biki. http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/9282/the_biki.htm [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (11-30-2002 12:33 PM).] |
