Sweet was the bliss,
of his tender kiss.

Warm was the touch,
that I miss so much.

And the stars above,
would glow of love.

As he held me tight,
throughout the night.

Our love being a heavenly thing,
made angels sing.

Though now he's gone,
my life goes on.

But no more do I hear,
so sot and clear.

Angels above above,
singing of love.

And the stars grow dim,
when I think of him.

For the dark is the part,
of a broken heart.

Though he's not here,
to hold me near.

I'l bless the time,
that he was mine.

And hold to me,
his sweet memory.

this is dedicated to my first husband skip. died 4-2-76

So sorry to hear of your loss. It is really impossible to try to critique a poem written for such an emotional event. Well, for me anyway.

Heartfelt, warm and sincere. Also, I can not critique this one. Grover.

Tender remembrances and sadness lingering with them.  I feel the special sentiment in this.

hugs, Karen

Sad and touching. It reminded me when I lost my 1st husband in Vietnam. I wrote a poem for him also and posted it here last year I believe it was. It was called Going Home, A Soldier's Final Rest. You might enjoy reading it. I can relate because I understand that even though we go on with our lives, a part of the heart forever lingers back in time with our lost loved ones. Bless you.
