Over the mountains far off crest Twix rivulet and craggy knoll There’s a place of certain rest Solace for the troubled soul To walk the path ’tween breezy clouds To sip the air of freedoms thought Thinking forms in huddled crowds With this vision dreams are bought In that place where dreamers dwell Hope stands yearning to be free Come and sip of this clear well And misty forms of life you’ll see Parted friends in vapours cloth Waiting in this distant land Drinking of the streams clear broth Waiting on the time…. of sand That rocky path you seek to climb With faltered step upon the way This glittered prize is so sublime Dissolving on that crowning day Jon Mewett |
