Life's Gifts Sunny days and tranquil nights, Walks in the woods or by the sea. A hug from a friend, laughing out loud, Life's gifts are in simplicity. They may not be gaily wrapped; To be sure at time they may seem plain. Their beauty is in how they fill our hearts, As lakes are filled with rain. Next time your soul grows wings, Next time your entire being sings; Know that you've been blessed freely, With life's gifts of such pure simplicity! Challenge: Write a poem describing what you believe life's gifts to be! "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

beautiful, Lizzie.. just beautiful.. and u r right, Life's gifts are just that.. Well, I might try to take u up on this challenge, but in my opinion, Life's gifts are what u make of them.. some think of them as lifes curses.. some, life's troubles.. some, life's gifts.. I think that everything in life is a gift, u must never take anything for granted.. it is undescribable.. because everything.. is a gift.. u've just got to look at it the right way.. thanx, a truly bautiful poem again, Lizzie Lynne |

I love your poem Lizzie, I think you did a great job with it. For your challenge: Waking each morning blest with life Having friends that enhance my being Ability to share myself with others A beating heart full of love for all Knowledge to know rights from wrongs Faith to get me through life's trials Elation to swim in the tribulations Basically every breath given is a gift Everyday the sun rises is a glowing gift Every new person met is a potential gift All in all I feel life is a precious gift [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 04-27-2000).] |
