Always Always have I loved symphonic sounds that ride the breeze Always have the cherished strains of music Danced with ease Always have I thought I’d heard the Perfect melody Until a poet wrote a lovely verse For only me Always has the meadow lark enchanted With his tune Always did my heart the plucks of angel Harps consume Always did emotion pour with sound Of sacred hymn But tears of love swelled in my heart When verses came from him Always will I love the beautious sound Of meadow lark Always will my spirit onto music’s Path embark Always will the songbird’s tune brush through The willow leaves His poetry forever more will put my Heart at ease Elizabeth Santos |
