I’ve labored long to paint a picture upon this page in rhyme but the picture goes unseen by you and passes away in time. My heart and soul I’ve bared to you but to that you are even blind each time you fail to see me here I move farther away in my mind. My poetry is my heart And I offer it up to you now but turning away, you ignore this poet’s simple vow. |

How could we turn away from one who daily offers her heart and soul to us here? Who with her poetry can make us laugh, or move us to tears? This we, the readers do say to the poet and her vow, "Bravo Dear Poet!! Please take your bow!! ----------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Sharon, this is lovely....I agree with Sven, take your bow!! How could we ever turn away from such beautiful wisdom as your poems express?! Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

Your heart is there in plain view I see it with my eyes, your words reflect the kindness you possess. A picture of beauty drawn from a poets mind, left for the readers imagination. |

I like this poem Suggestion: 2nd verse 2nd line, I was thinking maybe you're instead of "you are" seems to make it read more smoothly there What do u think? Just a suggestion Your failures in life come from not realizing your nearness to success when you give up. -Yoruba Proverb Poetry & Friendship, PrincessPoet |

Hi Sharon, This is National Poetry month and alas I was only able to get two knew friends to post here, but I think even just one new poet a day will make this world a better place to reside, for the muse covers all of the spectrum of life, thank you for your beautiful poem (im going to copy it and show it to someone special) and also for telling me how to incourage other poetry writers to post here at passions. Wonderful poem. But you don't realize how many you've touched. If only one person sees it, then you've succeeded. There's a saying, "touch one person and that person will change the world." ~Gene |

Great poem. I can relate. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |
