I get so tired of playing the games, It's too hard when the rules won't be shared, Seems they're made up as we go along, And I've kept it up as long as I dared. I'm told to take two steps ahead, Yet I end up three paces behind, Somehow I slide down the ladder, And I feel like I'm losing my mind. There's not a blindfold over my eyes, I see it all, though not quite enough, Never too sure if I'm in or out, Seems you're always calling my bluff. I'm tagged and told that I am it, As you turn and run away, Leaving me standing alone in your dust, Guess you didn't want me to play. I'm tired of all of the truth or dare, Of trying to figure out what you mean, And when the cards are laid on the table, You still won't let your hand be seen. So if you won't share your rules with me, I can't play your games anymore, And the next time there's nothing better to do, Please don't come knocking at my door. |

WOW! I feel like you have looked into my mind. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

Ahh you gaze into my mind too. People play SO ANY games, and lately they've been trying to play little games with me...and i'm tired of it....sooner or later someone will stop dancing the dance....so to speak And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

You are definitely a mind reader. This poem touches me on many levels. Excellent. MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |
