Waiting 4 my Demons My room is my sanctuary I'm scared to go outside Outside these walls Lies crime and hatred But inside I'm serene I fear my mind The thoughts inside How easy it could be But in my room I can hide from my mind Swallow my quiet hellhole For a while But I can't hide forever Soon my demons will come Eat my flesh And expose my mind Fearing for my life My sanity's been gone too long To ever be recovered So here I sit In my room, my sanctuary Waiting for my demons. Not sure what to say to this one dear. It is so disturbing and deep. Certainly makes me 'feel'. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

I feel this way too. That is, I understand your words and the way they seem to feel to me...Probably something way different from how you felt when you wrote it.. Good poem. MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

Such strong imagery, it's really cool. May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights. |
