High from the sky she was watching Tears falling free down her face Leaning to far she started falling From her cloud to a sad cyber space Landing with a thud on the ground Her wings she did feel break Struggling to stand on her feet The Angels despair made her weak Looking around she found herself lost So she wandered from place to place Not liking to cyber or most of the sites She moved looking for a friendly face Down a long path, and through many doors She wandered, silently weeping For if this was the way of the cyber world What was to come of the home she'd been keeping Then up ahead she saw a big sign Pointing the way to a tavern Following the road, she stopped and stared Wondering if she'd found a new haven Opening the door, her mouth dropped All she could do was stare For it seemed no matter who you were You were sure to be welcomed there Dragons, orcs, elves, gnomes, All with their own odd names Angels, demons, vampires, spawn, They seemed to be playing a game Paying no heed to how others looked No matter the breed or the race Everyone in this strange new room Had a friendly smile on their face Quietly entering she moved to the bar And ordered herself a drink Watching all of the patrons she found Herself wondering and settled down to think After all she'd seen and all she'd done The Angel did not want to roam So nodding to some and smiles towards others She proceded to learn her new home So now you know, friends, how this Story of Broken Winged Angel begins Many a long night, you'll find her in sight Of a place called the Red Dragon Inn. MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

The Red Dragon Inn is a wonderful place full of interesting people. It's a role-playing chat room and keeps my creative juices flowing.. Having few rules, the Inn accepts what ever your imagination can come up with. This, although being slightly rough, is my tribute to all of the patrons. Here's to good times and many more...... |

I agree, lovely tribute to a great place of friends. I also like the way you shared your story with us. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

A wonderful poem about somewhere special. I thought it was our little corner pub of which you were writing at first May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

Well, I sure like the sound of the place! Great poem, Angel! Being a dragon myself (online, anyway) I think I could warm to something like the Inn! Keep up the great work! Little Spyro T. Dragon |
