burdened by a while-limned rail of hope mankind lies buried -subsumed- beneath a tremoring divagation of timeless misconceptions what can- and cannot- be we are hindered -balked- by the assumed fears of our imagination's e x p a n s e prone to ever push the limits seemingly never to succeed -and yet- we must believe that across the invisible threshold marking the boundary of the unknown lies true understanding of the past- which is our future and the tomorrow- which holds our destiny for- splashed across the realms -of endless possibilities- are the precepts of immortality |

Beautiful poem you have there, Christopher. It is so thought provoking. I think it's wonderful! Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is a rainbow of delight." |

Sometimes guy, it takes me a few reads before I 'think' I'm fully understanding what you're trying to convey...that's because you write with depth, and I always find something new with each read. I like that about your writings, be they poetry or prose. lies buried -subsumed- beneath a tremoring divagation of timeless misconceptions I liked the above stanza...and read it out loud, I like how it rolls off the tongue. very cool May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

As I read this, I had the sneaking suspicion that I have seen it somewhere before -- am I losing what little is left of my mind, or have you posted this previously ..? Either way, it was well done -- if a bit adjectivous -- as I know is your tendency from time to time. Last stanza is my favorite, BTW -- precepts of immortality, indeed. --Me |

Very thought provoking indeed. It's definitely given me things to mull over for a while. Great work. "precepts of immortality" care to elaborate? hehe - sorry, couldn't help myself... You're reaching deep tonight my friend. Somewhere into realms of the philosophical. All I can say is I wish I were there to share a few of those beers with you...LOL - My sober mind is too flatfooted to venture with you sober right now... Or perhaps that is merely the expanse of my assumed fears balking me Damn you're good - anyone ever tell you that? Michael |
