The Faerie's Final Fight I tried with threats and with shouts, Our enemies to sway. The Faerie Folk are a peaceful race, Killings not our way. I am but a trickster and nothing more, playing the ocasional prank. But the time for practical jokes is past, For now I must be frank. We have no arrows and no bows, Or any warrior stuff. I think this day may be our end, McNastie has called our bluff. I have a thought, it just might work, For in my magic bag. I have the opportunity, with a little luck, To perform my greatest gag. Faerie dust may be our only chance, To change the battles end. I'll sprinkle it on him, while he sleeps, McNastie shall be our friend. McNastie works as an exterminator, It's certainly not the poorest. I hope he manages just as well, Working as a florist. |

J--This is a delightful addition to the ongoing McNastie saga. I enjoyed reading this. "Unto thine own self be true, and it must follow as the night, the day; thou cans't not be false to any man."---Shakespeare |

This is the first McNastie poem I've read, but I sure do like the idea of turning an enemy into a friend. I have long believed that conflicts between ethnic groups or political views often hang on a thread, and differences are actually twisted similarities. Anyway, I like the subject matter of your thoughts. liz |

J, I'm sure the Faerie Dust will do the trick. From a foe to a friend. Wish I had some of that dust Sheila ...the earth and myself are of one mind. The measure of the land and the measure of our bodies are the same........... Joseph, Nez Perce Chief |
