The Dark Wizard

The Dark Wizard standing in triumph
curled his handlebar mustache tightly
since my eyes see him in modern day
he mounts his Harley and roars away.

Pulling up to a Corvette at a traffic light
his new quest set to out do it's speed
light turns green Corvettes gone in dust
siren proves a speeding Wizard to bust.

License, registration, insurance please
next think you know the cop is crus'in
must have been called to a campaign
off the Dark Wizard rode in triumph again.

Down the road in the distance flashing
slowly approaching his heart rips open
now sad he knew it was not a campaign
as all he could see left was a power train.

He dared to stop to ask the only question
where's the rest of this car, any survivors?
The officer turned to look tears streaming
all I could hear were the echo's screaming.

Dark Wizard no longer stands triumphantly
he traded his Harley for a Cadillac Sedan
and every Sunday AM. you'll see it parked
at the corner church where angels harked.

We've all seen these accident scenes ,but still we drive like we want to get involved.
