TREASURE The hand was small, soft like morning mist on a summer morn, Eyes wide and shinning,direct unblinking, like a new born. A face so trusting, it hurt to see, afraid I would show my weakness, As I looked upon this wonder, I knew only God could create this. I held His wonder close, feeling the life that was there, I wanted to shout to the world, this I will not share. There are many who will covet I know, for it will give much joy, But I will not share this treasure, not this, not my baby boy. |

My hat is off to you again, Sir. While I admire your ability to phrase your combat experiences in poetic terms, it's difficult for me to identify with that, never having had that experience. But I well remember the day my son came into the world, and how I felt at the time. You have put into verse what most of us feel as fathers. Thank you. Exile/414 |

Thanks folks, your kind words are appreciated, that little bundle of joy is now 34 yrs old, has a treasure of his own. thanks again for being so nice. I am glad I found this place. |
