He is the one who watches you all He's there when you soar, he sees when you fall Believe me he knows what you're all going through You're not alone; he went through it too. He was born just like you were, was very alive He tried to lead you 'til the day he died But some would not listen, they just turned away And I still remember what happened that day... My friends gathered close to see the event That ended the earth-life of one who was sent From high above, past the stars and the sky For it was determined he was to die. They drove the spikes through his feet and each hand And we watched it grow dark throughout all the land As the whole living earth knew what was to come And clouds gathered near to block the sun. They hoisted him up on a death-marked hill We wanted to help him but we remained still For we were supposed to stay out of sight Even if He were to die that night. It's said that we're evil, forsaken by God But that is not true, we are not outlawed We are His creatures like everyone else Few of you know how much pain we have felt From this misunderstanding that some have told Parting us from humans since days of old. As we watched in sorrow so deep We saw the Savior put to forever sleep By those who conspired to finish him off Those who had mocked him; those who had scoffed As he traveled from village to city and town Helping and healing all those around. For some of them knew this man did no harm-- But what he did do was cause some alarm. Ever since he was born he was sought out to die It doesn't make sense, we do not know why. And now that they got him in their hands at last To end him amid the crowds amassed. And so he did rise three days after this! My friends just found out, the event they had missed But His resurrection one dragon did see, And that one dragon happened to be me. "Weird?! No, 'weird' is when you apply your human rules to where they shouldn't be applied. That's why it seems strange to you." --Ttark |

I love reading what you've posted.. It's all been so wonderful.. And you've added another poem to your growing list of literary accomplishments.. MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

Great poem, the imagary really captures what must have happened that day. May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights. |
