FEAR I'm running as fast as I can Through the dark tunnel wondering where it would end I can't see the light beyond Where is it? Where can it be? Oh, NO! I hear it coming There is nothing I can see The loud noise is deafening How close is it? Will it get me? Still running, I feel it Getting closer, and closer It is almost upon me I can feel it's hot breath But I still cannot see The light is just beyond Faster, I go I see the opening, there it is. Time has run out, for the thing behind I laugh out loud with joy I reach the light, I turned no creature In sight I turned back towards the light a smile on my face I screamed in terror as the hugh teeth bared down and swallowed me. I wake in a cold sweat It was a dream, just a dream Copyright © 1999 Die In Vain |

I liked the way the fear in this poem gradually built up....but ended happily!!! great poem Tess "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |
