i awoke last night and watched you sleeping by my side i longed to touch you to lay down my head and hear you take lifes breath but i held myself not wanting to awaken you the moon drifted out of the clouds the stars shone down the waves gently whispered not wanting to awaken you a smile transformed your face i knew it was i who put it there i could hold back nomore i reached out to touch your lips and awoke alas 'twas i who hadn't been awake [This message has been edited by wonderous (edited 03-21-2000).] |

Wonderous this is very good. So often our dreams seem real. Too bad this one wasn't more than a dream for you! ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

Beautiful, sad poem, Wonderous. If you need to change anything just go in under the edit function on top of your poem and fix anything that you would like to. Denise |

Wonderous, indeed you have opened my eyes to your name. . . I too have seen the sleep of my love, and wondered if it was I who was sleeping. . . Excellent, my friend. . . ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
